one education, many opportunities
At Parrett and Axe, we are steadfast in our belief in “one education, many opportunities.” Our guiding values—respect, kindness, equality, and courage— are also our house name and are deeply embedded within the ethos of our school, shaping every aspect of our community.
From a child’s very first day in Reception, as they embark upon their learning journey with curiosity and enthusiasm, to their final moments in Year 6, as they prepare for the next stage of their education, we remain committed to enabling every pupil to achieve their full potential. We place well-being, happiness, collaboration, and success at the core of our mission, recognising these as the foundations of excellence in learning.
Our bible story is 'The Good Samaritan' and that teaches us to,
“Love your neighbour as yourself.” (Luke 10:27)
As a proud Church of England school, we uphold a strong Christian ethos and encourage our pupils to live according to this teaching through our values and daily practice.
Our aim is to foster a school environment where:
-
Christian faith is central, informing and enriching every aspect of school life.
-
A culture of trust and faith creates a secure and supportive community.
-
Every individual is valued equally and treated with dignity, care, and respect.
-
Children feel safe, motivated, and inspired to reach their highest potential.
-
Relationships between children and adults are founded upon mutual respect.
-
Respect for personal and communal property is actively promoted.
-
Pupils develop pride in themselves, their work, their school, and their wider community.
-
Connections with the broader community are actively encouraged and celebrated.
-
Strong, positive partnerships between home and school are nurtured and appreciated.
