Chesil class is our year 1 and 2 classroom. We strive to ensure that Chesil is a welcoming learning community where children in both year groups work together, learn from each other and grow as confident, independent learners.
Through a creative and engaging curriculum, pupils are encouraged to explore, ask questions and develop a love of learning. Year 1 children build on the strong foundations from Early Years to develop their skills in reading, writing and mathematics. Year 2 pupils are encouraged to deepen their understanding and take on new challenges and responsibilities.
We focus not only on academic achievement but also on nurturing curiosity, increasing independence and building resilience. Our classroom is a place where friendships flourish, teamwork is valued and children feel proud of their progress.
