Forest School Ethos

Forest School is an inspiring approach to learning that offers all children regular opportunities to build confidence, self-esteem, and independence through hands-on experiences in a woodland or natural setting.

Each session is carefully planned and tailored to the needs and interests of every child. Through exploration and practical activities, pupils are encouraged to challenge themselves, take sensible risks, and develop resilience at their own pace. Activities may include tool use, knot tying, and construction projects, all designed to be safe, achievable, and confidence-boosting.

Our Forest School is proudly led by Mrs Guppy, a long-standing and much-valued member of our staff, whose expertise and passion for outdoor learning make these sessions a highlight of school life.
