Kimmeridge Class
In Kimmeridge, our aim is to develop open minds, positive attitudes, and
high expectations of ourselves and each other within a happy and
productive learning environment. We recognise it is important to provide
opportunities for children to explore, discover, create and imagine
wherever possible, whilst building on the skills and knowledge they have
learned in key stage one.
We understand how the transition from Key Stage one to Key Stage two
can be a challenge for some children and so we all work together to help
everyone to feel settled, confident and to be the best that they can be.
Children support each other to remember the routines, rules, and
standards we value, writing our own class charter at the beginning of the
year and referring to it regularly.
During their time in Kimmeridge, children will explore a variety of wider
curriculum topics, which may include Ancient China, The history of Kings
and Queens, The World’s Kitchen, The Ancient Egyptians and Extreme
Survival. We love taking our learning outside and particularly learning about Science, wildlife and nature.
