Hello and welcome to Parrett and Axe CE VA Primary School! On behalf of all our children and staff, I’d like to say how delighted we are that you’ve stopped by to find out more about our school.

We’re a small, friendly village school set in the beautiful West Dorset countryside, and we’re proud of the caring, family feel that makes our school such a special place to learn and grow.

As a Church of England school, our Christian values—Courage, Respect, Equality, and Kindness—are at the heart of everything we do. You’ll see these values come to life every day in the way our children look after each other, embrace challenges, and celebrate one another’s successes.

At Parrett and Axe, every child is unique, and we work closely with families and our wider community to create a safe, supportive, and exciting place for children to thrive.

As Head Teacher, I feel incredibly lucky to lead such a warm, welcoming school community. Seeing our children grow in confidence, kindness, and curiosity is truly the best part of my job.
